Welcome to Volunteerly! These terms applies for your use of our platform.

By creating a user profile you accept these terms.

1. Who is Volunteerly?

Volunteerly ApS, CVR-nr. 45475719, operates the platform, where users and organisers can share and register for activities related to being a volunteer.

2. Who can use the platform?
  • You have to be at least 13 years old.
  • You have to create a personal profile with correct information.
  • You can not have an anonymous user, as your identity is important when you participate in an event as a volunteer.
  • You can terminate your user profile by sending an email to info@volunteerly.dk.
3. How does Volunteerly work?
  • When you have created a user profile, you can sign up for events that matches your interests and local area.
  • Organisers expect, that you show up to the events where you have a shift. If you cannot participate, you have to deregister either through the platform or directly to the organiser.
  • You are not allowed to provide false information or misuse the platform in any way.

If you misuse the platform, Volunteerly has the right to:

  • Suspend or delete the user profile.
  • Remove any illegal or offensive content.
4. Organisers and responsibilities
  • The term “Organisers” refers to organisations or associations that offer events.
  • Organisers has to have a separate agreement with Volunteerly to be able to create events.
  • When you sign up for an event, your user is linked with the organiser in question.
  • When your data is processed in relation to an organiser, it is according to the joint data processing agreement that Volunteerly has with every organiser. Meaning that both parties has responsibility for ensuring that your information is processed legally and safely.
  • The organiser is solely responsible for the actual events, contact and eventual selection of volunteers. Volunteerly is not an employer in this respect, and cannot be held accountable for the contents, the execution or safety of the event.
  • Volunteerlys role is to facilitate the contact between the user and the organiser, and to make relevant administrative tools available.
5. Personal information and data protection
  • We process your information to make the platforms function available to you. It happens in accordance with the applicable privacy policy and GDPR/data protection legislation in force at any time.
  • The privacy policy states, which informations we process, why we do it, and which rights you have as a registered user.
  • When you create a profile, you agree to our processing of information as described in the privacy policy.

When you participate in events from an organiser, there will always be an agreement on how Volunteerly and the organiser process your data jointly. This means that both parties cooperate on the data processing, and that we have a joint liability to comply to the rights you have according to GDPR.

6. Communication and Consent
  • We will send you messages/notifications about the events you have registered for as part of the service.
  • When you link your user profile with an organiser, you will receive relevant messages, such as reminders about events you have registered for, as well as information about new activities with the organiser where you may volunteer. This communication is a natural part of your connection and does not require separate consent. You can withdraw your connection to an organiser at any time through your settings.
  • If the organiser or the platform wishes to send you marketing, such as offers for guests or from partners, we will ask for your separate consent.
7. Limitation of Liability

Volunteerly only facilitates the contact between users and organisers and make the platforms administrative tools available to the organiser. We are not liable for the contents, execution, or safety of any events.

Volunteerly cannot be held accountable for any losses, damages or incidents in relation an event or the participation in an event. Our responsibility is in all cases limited to cases where we have acted intentionally or with gross negligence, and we are never accountable for indirect losses, including operating losses or lost earnings.

This liability limitation does not affect Volunteerlys liability in relation to current data protection legislation or other mandatory legislation.

8. Changes to the Terms
  • Volunteerly can change this terms with 14 days notice.
  • You will be informed of changes via the platform and e-mail. Continuous use after the changes has taken effect, mean that you accept the new terms.
9. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms and conditions are subject to Danish law.

Any disputes shall be settled by the courts of the municipality where Volunteerly ApS has its registered office.

If you are a consumer, you may always bring a case before the courts in your own jurisdiction.
